What is a Free Hearing Screen?
A free hearing screen is a quick, no-obligation 15-minute appointment designed to give you a simple snapshot of your hearing. It's the perfect first step if you've been wondering whether your hearing has changed, but aren't sure if a full assessment is necessary.
Sometimes we mishear things - and it doesn't always mean there's a problem. But if it's happening more frequently, a hearing screen can give you clarity and peace of mind.
What does a screening involve?
The screen tests air conduction thresholds in both ears across the key speech frequencies (500Hz - 6kHz). This is enough to confirm whether hearing loss is present. It is not a full diagnostic assessment - it won't reveal the nature or cause of the hearing loss or assess auditory processing - but it is a valuable starting point.
What happens after a screen?
If your results are normal, great - you'll leave with confidence that your hearing is within a healthy range. If the screen identifies some degree of hearing loss, we'll discuss the most appropriate next steps, which may include a full diagnostic hearing assessment, or schedule annual follow up tests to monitor your hearing.

Book your free 15 minute hearing screen
Let's be honest, sometimes we mis-hear things. It doesn't always mean there is hearing loss...but sometimes it does. Book a free 15-minute hearing screen to learn how well you hear.
A hearing screen tests air conduction thresholds in both ears from 500Hz to 6kHz. This test confirms the existence of hearing loss. It is not a diagnostic audiological hearing assessment- it does not reveal the nature of hearing loss. Nor does it investigate the auditory processing challenges caused by hearing loss.
